TIM’s Academic Director Prof. Shlomo Maital helped organize, and participated in a conference sponsored by MATI Jerusalem Business Development Center on April 30, on “Bootstrapping – how to start a business without money.” 

Some 230 current and would-be entrepreneurs participated. Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, a legendary entrepreneur who founded BRM and helped fund Checkpoint at its inception, told participants how he bootstrapped BRM by holding a day job and working nights, for two years.
