Joshua Maor 

Maor completed his B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 1969 Mr. Maor joined IBM, where he held a number of positions both at IBM Israel and at the Headquarters of IBM in Europe. He was later appointed General Manager of IBM Israel and Chairman of the Board of IBM Israel Science and Technology Laboratories. In 1998 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of IBM Israel. Later, established a private business of start-up companies in the Technology Industry. Maor is currently the Chairman of several venture capital funds as well chairman and board member of several other technology companies. Maor received an Honorary Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science.


 

     
Ehud Marom

Marom is the Chief operating Officer of Peptor LTD. On top of his activities at Peptor Mr. Marom serves as director in high-tech companies. Prior to his position as C.O.O of Peptor, Mr. Marom served as vice-president at the API and Copaxone division at Teva global pharmaceutical group. In addition, Mr. Marom served as director in two Teva subsidiaries. Before his employment with Teva, Mr. Marom established and managed Alga computerized BioTechnology plant with global connections. Prior to that he served as vice-president of a joint venture in the field of pharmaceutical development and cancer detection, between NPDC Ltd. and Bar-Ilan University. Marom received his B.Sc. in Chemical engineering from the Technion with distinction, and his management studies were done at the Technion, INSEAD and graduated TIM SMP.


 

     
Moty Mebel

Mebel is the founder and CEO of SmartLink since its foundation in 1995. Prior to founding the company, from 1991 to 1994, he served as COO, General Manager and VP of Engineering at Zoran Corporation. Before that, Mebel held senior positions over the course of twelve-year tenure at Intel. Mebel holds a B.Sc. EE degree from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.


       
Erez Meltzer

Meltzer served as CEO of Africa-Israel. Prior to this, he served as President and CEO of Netafim in Tel Aviv, Israel. Meltzer received his B.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University and MBA from Boston University. In addition to his duties at Netafim, he serves as Chairman for both the Leowenstein Hospital Rehabilitation Center and the Israeli Forum of Hi-Tech CEO’s.


 

     
Guri Meltzer
Meltzer is the former Chairman of Bezeq, Ltd. Previously he was the President and CEO of Tadiran Ltd., and President of Telrad. Considered a statesman of the Israeli telecommunications industry, Gurion is a prominent figure in the business community, serving as a director on a variety of corporate boards and advisory committees. 

 

     
Ilan Meshoulam

Meshoulam is Professor of Human Resources Management and Strategy at the Graduate School of Business, Haifa University. Meshoulam is one of the founders of Intel Israel, where he served as vice president. Previously, he has served as vice president of human resources at Indigo. Meshoulam has extensive international expertise in global companies in the USA and Europe, and serves as a senior consultant on the board of several companies. Meshoulam received an MBA from American University, and an MBA from Boston University. He also received a DBA from Boston University.

 

     
Edgar Miller

Miller is managing Director of Palladian Limited. Prior to founding Palladian, Miller was responsible for overseeing the Pallas Group’s $400 million venture capital and private-equity investment activities in France, Germany, Spain and the UK and was Managing Director of Pallas Limited. Miller was a founding General Partner in New York and Palo Alto of the first venture capital partnership. Before joining Dillon Read, Miller was a Partner of McKinsey & Company in London. Miller holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a MSc in electrical engineering from MIT, and a BS in engineering-science from The University of Texas. 

 

 

     
Ed Mlavsky

Mlavsky is the Chairman and Founding Partner of Gemini Capital Fund Management Ltd. Ed was also Executive Director of the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation (BIRD). From 1974 to 1979, Ed was Executive Vice President of Mobil Tyco Solar Energy Corporation, a joint venture created by Mobil Corporation and Tyco Laboratories Inc. to develop and commercialize a novel photovoltaic technology initiated under Ed's direction at Tyco, a company of which he was a co-founder in 1960. Until 1974, Dr. Mlavsky was a member of its Board of Directors and its Chief Technical Officer; in 1973, he became President and Chief Operating Officer. Ed has a First Class Honors B.Sc. degree in Chemistry (1950) and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (1953) from Queen Mary College, University of London. 

 

 

     
Avner Passal

Passal is the General Manager of Motive Management, a consulting company working with some of Israel’s largest companies. Customers that Passal has worked with are mostly global Israeli firms, local market leaders, global entrants, and growing start-ups in the following markets: hi-tech, government, retail, financial services, industrial products, defense, consumer goods, media, and pharmaceutical. Passal holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Tel Aviv University.


       
Haya Ramon

Ramon is currently a strategic coach working with CEOs, management teams and mission teams in companies such as; Strauss, Delta, Digital, Tadiran Systems, Teva-Naot, Dun & Bradstreet, Holon Municipality, LXI, Beterm Organization - for Kids safety, and the Israeli Air Force. Prior to this, Ramon was CEO of NCT a medical device company. In addition, Ramon served as senior consultant at "Coaching." Ramon holds a PhD. in sociology, and an MA in urban planning from the Hebrew University. 


 

     
Josef Rein
Rein is Owner and Founder of Corporate Strategy Consulting and Founder of Nizanim Venture Capital Group. He works with technology and consumer companies in formulating and implementing business strategies involving business development and growth, diversification, portfolio management, turnarounds, M&A’s and overseas distribution.

 

     
Tamar Rotem 

Rotem specializes in leading and consulting comprehensive organizational processes: M&A’s, cultural changes, globalization, strategic thought processes and configuration of organizational structure. Rotem has previously worked with high-tech companies, and in addition: industrial companies as well as service, educational and governmental organizations. Rotem received her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology as well as her Masters in Organizational Psychology from Bar Ilan University, Israel.


 

     
David Rubner  
Rubner is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rubner Technology Ventures Ltd. and General Partner in Hyperion Israel Advisors Ltd., a venture capital firm. Prior to this, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of ECI Telecommunications Ltd. Prior to his appointment he held the positions of Chief Engineer, Vice President of Operations and Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Telecommunications Division. Rubner is Chairman of the Board of ECtel Ltd. and serves on the boards of ECI Telecommunications Ltd., Koor Industries Ltd., IIS Intelligent Information Systems Ltd., Efcon Ltd., Allcharge Inc. and Jigami Corporation. Rubner holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London and an M.S. degree from Carnegie Mellon University.


 

     
Aharon Schwartz

Schwartz is Vice President, Strategic Business Planning and New Ventures at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Schwartz brings to BioLineRx his vast experience in the ethical and generic pharmaceutical industry. He joined Teva Pharmaceuticals in 1975, and has since held various positions including VP Head of the commercial division, VP Head of Teva-Israel and VP Business Development. While acting as VP Global Products, Schwartz was responsible for bringing Teva’s first ethical drug to market through strategic cooperation with major international pharmaceutical companies. Schwartz also served as Chairman of Denx and Immudar and is a non-executive board member of Peptor, Proneuron and TransPharma. Schwartz received his PhD in organic chemistry from the Weizmann Institute, his MSc from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa and a BSc in chemistry and physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 


 

 

 

     
Joseph Sela

Sela joined Gemini upon its formation in 1993. During 1995 he served as CEO of Ornet DCT, a Gemini portfolio company in the field of data communications. Sela serves on the Boards of  Precise, Aisys, Super Dimension, Orisol, Commtouch,  Butterfly, Scidel and Cellertra. Prior to this, Sela was Vice President, Marketing at DSP Group (NASDAQ DSPG), DSPC). He was Director for CAD Development and PCB Marketing Manager Europe at Daisy System Inc. Sela holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. 

 

 

 

     
Yair Shamir

Shamir is Chairman and Managing Partner of Catalyst Fund. Shamir is also Chairman of IAI, Israeli Aircraft Industries and the Chairman of Shamir Optical Industry, traded on NASDAQ (SHMR). Shamir was Chairman of El Al. Shamir served as executive VP of the Challenge Fund-Etgar L.P. He also served as CEO of Elite Ltd. Shamir served as Executive VP and GM of Scitex Corporation, Ltd. He currently serves as a director of few public companies listed on NASDAQ: Mercury Interactive Corporation and DSP Group Corporation and also serves as director of few private hi-tech companies. Shamir holds a B.Sc. Electronics Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

 

     
Carmel Sofer

Sofer is a General Partner at Gemini after a notable career in the wireless and communications industry. Prior to Gemini, Carmel was the President of Comverse (Nasdaq: CMVT) Europe, where he refocused strategy, enhancing Comverse's position in Europe, increasing Sales, and turning the operation to profitability and growth. Before that he was responsible for Comverse's business and operations in Asia Pacific. In 1999, Carmel founded Starhome as a subsidiary of Comverse and built the company to profitability. Starhome joined the Gemini portfolio in 2004 and Carmel continues to be an advisor to the company and sits on the Board as an Observer. In Gemini, Carmel deals with all facets of the investment process, from deal sourcing to active board participation in portfolio companies. He sits on the boards of a number of Gemini companies, including Modu Mobile, Intercast Networks, and Massive Impact - a company with HQ in Taiwan, and R&D in Israel, focusing on the Asia Pacific Market.

 

     
Gili Tamir
Tamir is a CO-CEO of OFER ARIELY Ltd. As well Gili is a partner of M4T Ltd. Gili is also a staff member of the clinical department of Haifa University. He teaches group dynamics in the psychology faculty. Gili holds a B.A of Haifa University in psychology and sociology and M.A in clinical psychology.  

 

 

     
Jacob Vind

Vind is Executive Vice President of Aladdin Knowledge Systems,Ltd., a global leader in the field of Internet content and software security solutions. Vind has over twenty years of data processing, high tech and entrepreneurial experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Vind has served as the General Manager of E*Trade Israel, a wholly owned subsidiary of the E*Trade Group, Inc. The local subsidiary, which was established by Vind, was engaged in R&D and business development activities. Prior to E*Trade, Vind has been instrumental in converting Liraz Systems from a small local consulting firm into an international corporation providing various EAI, eCommerce middleware solutions and system integration services. At Liraz, Vind held several positions ranging from COO of the local Israeli company, CEO of the US subsidiary (Nasdaq:LVEL) and CEO of the European subsidiary. Vind holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and English Literature (undergraduate) from Bar-Ilan university and a Business Management and Administration diploma from De-Anza college (CA).

 

 

     
Kobi Vortman

Vortman is President and CEO at InSight Therapeutics. He was previously President of Elbit Medical Imaging and President and CEO of Diasonics Vingmed Ultrasound. Vortman has won the Israel National Security Award and has a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Jerusalem, a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion and a Ph.D. in Electro Optics from the Technion.

 

 

     
Avigdor Willenz
Willenz has been a board of director member between 2000 and 2001 and again from 2004. From 1992 until 2001 Willenz served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors of Galileo Technology Ltd. From 2001 to 2002, following a merger with Marvell, Willenz served as a director in the Marvell Technology Group Ltd. From 2001 to 2002, he was Corporate Product Definition Manager and Chief Engineer for Integrated Device Technology (IDT). Prior to joining IDT, Willenz worked for Elbit Computers Ltd. from 1984 to 1988. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of UCLT and Radware Ltd., a Nasdaq traded company. Willenz holds a B.Sc.E.E. from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. 

       
Johann Wuestenberg

Wuestenberg is ‘liaison’ for Belgium and France of the I.O.D.A. (International Organisation Development Association), the international professional organisation for organisation consultants. He has worked as a self-employed organisation consultant in Belgium and the Netherlands. Johann was one of the founders of the Association for Organisation Development (Associatie voor Organisatie Ontwikkeling). Wuestenberg studied sociology and law at the Catholic University of Leuven and did a postgraduate course ‘Group and Organisation’ at Limburg University, both in Belgium.

     
Zehavit Cohen Yosef
Cohen is Head of Israel APAX Partners since 2006. Yosef has prior experience as Executive VP and CFO of the IDB Group (Israel’s largest investment company) and VP of Chase Manhattan. Cohen received an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a PhD in Finance from Lassalle University (LA). Cohen is also lecturer in Finance and Accounting at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and fellow of the University of Pennsylvania. 

       
Yossi Zamri

Zamri is currently the managing partner of M4T Ltd., a consulting firm that addresses the challenge which is reflected in its name: Management for Technology. He was previously Vice President of Operations at Partner Communications Company Ltd. where he was the project manager for launching Partner (orange) into commercial operation. He also held senior managerial positions at Comverse Technology, Inc., including executive vice president, vice president of research and development and project manager. He was the manager of the real time applications division at Applicom Systems Ltd. In addition, he was project manager and software engineer at Advanced Technology Ltd. Zamri holds a BA, Summa Cum Laude with highest honors in Computer Science from Brandeis University.
