Benchmarking

TIM is a leading authority in international benchmarking practices with in depth case studies, articles and trips to over twenty countries. We have met with heads of state and top officials, as well as some of the most influential CEO's of leading Fortune 500 companies.

The TIM philosophy
Learning by doing was the catalyst for creating TIM's transformational benchmarking methodology. It aims to help accelerate the leadership growth process by providing hands-on regional and international case studies to program participants.

Benchmarking is implemented through regional and international executive tours as well as shadowing and mentoring processes. These workshops are a major highlight of each program, often scheduled towards the end to integrate the fundamentals learned from previous workshops.

Participants are encouraged to benchmark their organization and industry against successfully transformed international business regions including; Singapore, Sweden, UK, Germany, Taiwan, Turkey, Finland, Estonia, Ireland, Silicon Valley (The States) and more.

Within each region participants are exposed to role model organizations and are encouraged to explore different infrastructures, government organizations and industries. Benchmarking sessions are often conducted with senior managers, industry leaders, government ministers and ambassadors. We also encourage cross-fertilization between managers and organizations to provide fertile grounds for networking and partnership opportunities.

Regional benchmarking tours are often incorporated into TIM's programs and graduate events schedule (link to execuTIM events), providing graduates an opportunity to continue to learn from their peers and industry leaders.

Benchmark to China 2005

Even if I chose to go to Singapore as a tourist, I would never have had the opportunity to meet with these people, to hear what they have to say. It provided me with a unique opportunity to be exposed to the entire economic, governmental and commercial infrastructure on a first-hand basis, with insightful comments and perspectives that Lester Thurow provided before and after the meetings. It was really a unique opportunity.“
